PORTUGAL REMAINS EUROPE’S LEADING BICYCLE AND E-BIKE EXPORTER IN 2021<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Portuguese e-bike and bicycle export statistics in 2021 totaled \u20ac594 million, an increase of 39% when compared with 2020. 
Just to name a few key players, Portugal hosts one of the largest bike assembly plants in Europe – RTE<\/a>, one of the leading European manufacturers of bike rims and wheels – RODI Industries<\/a>, the first company in the world to weld aluminum frames with robots – Triangle’s, a company that produces the lightest bike saddle in the world – Gelu, and a highly automated carbon frame factory for large-scale production – CarbonTeam<\/a>.

The latest announcement in the Portuguese soft mobility sector addresses the creation of BIKINNOV | Bike Value Innovation Center<\/a>, which will focus on innovation and development, and manage a technological center for the industry. Furthermore, Portuguese firm BIKAP – Bike Assembly Portugal<\/a> has just started operating a new, carbon-neutral e-bike production facility, with an annual capacity of up to 50,000 units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
